The Africa Arbitration Association has been launched at an event in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, a development that has been heralded by the International Court of Justice’s president, Somalian Abdulqawi Ahmed Yusuf, as “the coming of age of the arbitration profession in Africa."
In the words of Bayo Ojo SAN, the association’s first president, “the AfAA stands to promote, encourage, facilitate and advance the use of international arbitration to build an enabling environment for investment and sustainable development within the African continent.” Read the full article here.
